Keerthy (born on the 17th of October 1992), is an Indian actress. She appears primarily on screen in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam movies. She received the National Film Award as Best Actress in 2018 for her portrayal of actress Savitri, who appeared in the Telugu film Mahanati. The actress also won three SIIMA Awards and a Filmfare Award South. Keerthy Kumar is the daughter filmmaker G. Suresh Kumar, and actress Menaka G. Suresh. Her career began as a child actress during the 2000s, and later was back in films following her studies of fashion design. She had her first lead part in 2013's Malayalam film Geethaanjali. She went on to star in successful films such as Ring Master (2014), Rajinimurugan (2016), Remo (2016), Bairavaa (2017), Nenu Local (2017), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Mahanati (2018), Sarkar (2018), Sandakozhi 2 (2018), Penguin (2020), Miss India (2021), Good Luck Sakhi (2022) and Sarkaru Vaari Paata (2022). Keerthy has signed her first Tamil projects in the year 2015, and began accepting projects out of Malayalam. While the film did not do well in the theaters the film she made her debut in came from A. A. Vijay's romantic-comedy Idhu Enna Maayam (2005), which she starred in opposite Vikramprabhu. To make room for larger projects due to her hectic schedule, she had opted from a few films which she started to work on. This included Krishna's Maane Thaene Paeye (a love story) and Deekay's Kavalaivendam. She worked in two films that came out in quick succession, with Sivakarthikeyan, Rajini Murugan & Remo. Dhanush was also an actor of note on Prabhu's Thodari. The release of the film was pushed back in the year 2015, and will now take place after September of 2020. The film will be released under an alternative title, Janakitho Nenu. Nenu Sailaja (2016), which featured Ram Pothineni as the actor was the debut film of Keerthy's. Keerthy was first seen with Bairavaa (directed by Bharathan) opposite actor Vijay. In 2017, Keerthy made an appearance on screen in Tamil film PaambhuSattai and Telugu film Nenu Local.
