Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci is a Romanian gymnast (born 12 November 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now OnestiGheorghe Gheorghiu Dej [now Onesti] Romania). She was the first to achieve a perfect 10 in an Olympic event. Comaneci was first discovered by Bela Karolyi who was later her Romanian gymnastics coach when she was six years old. She first competed in the junior national championships in 1969, finishing 13th. She took the title in 1970. In 1972, at a meet of communist countries juniors before the Olympics, she took home three medals of gold. Then in 1973 and '74 she was the junior champion in all aspects. When she made her debut as a Senior in 1975 she beat the Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva, the five-time European champion, winning four golds and one argent. She won the American Cup in New York City in 1976, becoming the first female to do a reverse double salto, which is an unmounting from uneven bars that are parallel. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was a teen Carol Wayne started working in the entertainment industry performing as figure skater. Together with her twin brother Nina Wayne she was part of a show that traveled called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on September 6, 1942, on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol started her career as an entertainer in her teens. Her first job was as a figure skater, performing alongside her sister Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around called Ice Capades. Ice Capades featured performances of skaters ice skating by actors.
